Freelance Stability

Moving from Outsourcing Stability & Security to Self Sourcing

Many freelancers leave traditional structures of full-time work, in hopes of finding a sense of freedom in freelance. What they often end up feeling, though, is unmoored. True freedom doesn’t come from avoiding structure altogether—it comes from choosing your own.

This course will teach you how to replace external systems of safety (steady paychecks, job titles, office hierarchies) with internal ones rooted in choice, power, authenticity and self-leadership. You’ll learn to stabilize your finances, support your emotional well-being, and reclaim your time and direction—so you can build a career around your truth, instead of your fear.

Lesson 1: Creating Stability In Freelance AKA Building Your Dream House

When you leave the structure of a 9-to-5, you’re not just changing your pay schedule, you’re ripping out the very scaffolding that held your schedule, your emotions, your identity and more.

In this lesson, we’ll unpack what happens when you suddenly remove the framework that used to shape your days—and how to build new, self-designed systems that provide both freedom and groundedness. This is where we begin rebuilding your dream house, with you as the architect.

Lesson 2: Setting Up Your Financial Structures

Contrary to what you’ll see on Linkedin, most freelancers don’t struggle with earning money—they struggle with managing the unpredictability of it. In this lesson, you’ll learn to stabilize your finances from the inside out by setting up simple, sustainable systems that help you ride income waves without panic. Structure replaces stress, and your money becomes a supportive tool, not a source of fear.

Lesson 3: Building Emotional Support Structures

Successful freelancers aren’t the ones who can book the most work; they’re the ones that learn how to hold and support themselves best when they’re between jobs. This is the skill that will make or break your longevity as a freelancer.

In this lesson, you’ll explore how to create real emotional support in your freelance life, because freedom isn’t very fun when it feels more like free-falling.

Lesson 4: Tracking Your Freelance Income

Employees equate time on the job with security in the bank. But, for freelancers, it’s not a one-to-one connection. We CAN actually take time off of work, and still be ok financially. But, we won’t know that unless we have the hard data to lean on. Until we do that, we’ll be using our feelings to tell us how we’re doing financially, and that’s a recipe for panic.

This lesson shows you how to track your income in a way that brings clarity and confidence.

Lesson 5: Empowering Your Relationship To Money

Your mindset around money matters as much as your income. In this lesson, you’ll begin to uncover old stories, unconscious beliefs, and inherited patterns that shape how you earn, spend, and feel about money. Then, we’ll rewire them so you can approach your finances from a place of empowerment, not avoidance.

Lesson 6: Facing & Moving Beyond Fear

The freelance path is nothing if not a path of personal growth. Empowered freelancers adopt a growth mindset, and learn to see challenges as opportunities to grow into their highest potential.

In this lesson, we’ll introduce you to the concept of "wound healing" and the emotional work required to move through the fears that come up as you expand into new territory. This is where freelancing becomes a self-leadership practice, and a vehicle to realizing your best self.

Lesson 7: Optimizing Your Time Off

In this Lesson, you’ll learn to plan out exactly how you are going to spend your time off, so that you never have to find yourself languishing in the abyss, grasping for a meeting invite or a timesheet to fill out, just to make yourself feel productive and/or useful.

Empowered freelancers don’t focus on "how much down time is too much?” but rather, how can I best use this time off to move my life and career forward? This distinction will either allow you to thrive and grow as a freelancer, or languish and despair.

Lesson 8: Claim Your Life

If you’re still operating from the employee mindset, you may have trouble enjoying the new-found freedom that’s waiting for you as a freelancer. But, here’s the truth: no one is going to give you permission to live your dream—you have to take it.

In this lesson, we talk about the importance of not just having freedom, but claiming it. You’ll practice putting joy, adventure, and desire on the calendar, and prove to yourself that this life is yours to lead.

Lesson 9: Defining Your Career Direction

What do you want? Not, what do you think you should have, but what do you really, truly want?

Empowered Freelancers don’t follow career paths—they create them. In this lesson, you’ll redefine what career direction even means when you’re no longer climbing someone else’s ladder. Instead of waiting to be chosen or promoted, you’ll start steering your own course—with clarity, intention, and self-trust.

What People Are Saying:

I feel like you are providing a service that many freelancers don’t even know they need. When I was starting, I had no concept of the depth of the overthinking that can happen when you are first not working, and then I had my first experience with no work for two and a half months. I think it’s such a valuable thing that a lot of new freelancers are not even aware that it’s a thing.

— Kim, Freelance Producer

I just want to affirm what a big F-ing deal it is to not spiral. That is literally the defining path for people who stick to this, and people who run back into the arms of a 9-to-5 even if they hate it, just for the ‘perceived’ security. I am experiencing this incredible state. I’m a very anxious person, and prone to catastrophizing and all the things. I’m a textbook case. And, this course has really helped me combat that.

— V, Creative Director

I really feel like this program has been a super big deal to me. I talk about it a lot, and I tout it to freelancers all the time. I cannot imagine this year without it, whether that’s the 1-on-1 coaching support or the group calls. The way that you’ve made me reframe basically every situation I’m going through, and every other situation that people are going through on the group calls has been like career-changing and life-changing.
