Freelance Power

Drop the desperation energy and call back your power

Take this course to learn where your “employee mindset” may be keeping you from experiencing the true freedom that’s available when you remember who exactly is in charge here. (Hint: you.)

This course will shake you out of complacency, and hand you the roadmap to the career you know you're capable of having.

What’s Inside

Lesson 1: Learning to trust yourself
When you go freelance, you're not just changing how you work; you're changing who’s in charge of your life. That means learning to lead yourself, instead of relying on your next freelance gig to step in and do it for you.

Master this, and you can graduate to building your bigger dreams like starting the consultancy, becoming a speaker, building your brand, or whatever that thing is for you. (I know you know what it is. But you can't get there without handling THIS step first.)

Lesson 2: Becoming Your Own Boss
When you leave behind the 9-to-5, you also leave behind the traditional way of doing things. No more ladders to climb. No more boxes to check off. This can be extremely liberating at first, but without another form of direction or guidance in place, it can also feel really disorienting.

In this lesson, you'll remember that you always knew what was right for you, and how it important it is to trust that. You’ll learn how to stop searching outside of yourself for approval, and start connecting with your deeper knowing. The more you practice listening inward, the clearer your authentic next step becomes.

Lesson 3: Shedding The Employee Mindset
If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “Someone else must know better than me," this lesson is for you. Here, you’ll learn to notice how the patterns you picked up in traditional work environments—read: seeking permission, avoiding mistakes, waiting to be chosen—might be keeping you feeling (and appearing) smaller than you really are.

Once you see it, you can shift it, and that's when everything changes.

Lesson 4:Time Off From Work & What To Do About It
As a freelancer, time off isn’t a problem, it’s a perk. You’re no longer tied to the 9-to-5 grind, but you may still be judging your schedule as if you are. That probably doesn't feel very good, does it?

In this lesson, you’ll learn to reframe “dry spells” not as failure, but as part of the natural rhythm of freelance life. When you learn to stop fighting these pauses, you experience greater stability. Once you get yourself stabilized, you can actually start using your time off as you see fit: for that book you want to write, that trip you want to take or that family you want to start. You earned it, after all.

Lesson 5: Taking The Industry Off The Pedestal
Feeling burnt out and resentful about your career? You’re not alone. Many of us were taught to pour everything into our jobs, believing that career success would bring us the validation and fulfillment we needed to feel whole. When that doesn’t happen, we feel stuck, frustrated, and disillusioned.

In this lesson, we unpack the truth: your career isn’t responsible for your sense of self worth—that’s an inside job. When we need our jobs to be everything to us, we hand over our power and leave ourselves vulnerable to disappointment. Until we clear this baggage, we'll drag it into every career move we make—and hugely diminish our joy and personal potency in the process. Time to clean the slate, and let some fresh energy in.

Lesson 6: Good Gigs Only
Not all freelance gigs are created equally.

You’ll learn to spot the red and green flags that signal whether a gig will energize or drain you. You’ll also reflect on your own patterns so you can choose to work with clients that align with who you really are, and what you really want to be doing. No more settling for whatever you can get. That's not why you went freelance.

This is where we stop chasing gigs, and start building something meaningful that represents who we are, what we value, and what we bring to the table as professionals.

Bonus Lesson: The Energy & Frequency of Joyful Freelancing

The conversation that not enough freelancers are having, but should be.

What People Are Saying:

I’m on the verge of signing my dream role while also getting to continue freelancing. Your modules were such a paradigm shift for my brain. It still informs how I approach everything, including this new job. I refuse to outsource any of my agency or autonomy.

The Course is really beautiful. Outside of being strategic and tactical, it’s thoughtful and helps you reframe your approach to work in a transformative way, where you are at the center and taking care of yourself. It’s transformative and empowering.

— Alex, Freelance Creative Director

I freaking love this course so far. I never thought I’d hear talk about the ego in a course like this, but it’s refreshing to hear someone talk about the well-rounded self, recognizing we are human beings going through life.
